About Velocity

Velocity was born in 1989 in a backyard shed outside Brisbane, Australia. Tom Black was a one-man manufacturing machine making aluminium water bottle cages by hand.

In 1991 we introduced our first aluminium rim, the Aero.

In 1998, we began to sell our rims as fully built wheels. 

Today, we’re proud to be able to transform the best available materials into high-end wheels to support the passion of cyclists everywhere.
